Notarise. Resolve Disputes.

We practise in the areas of property law, commercial and company law, and family and succession law. You are welcome to communicate with us in English. Deeds and documents may also be prepared with a German/English translation.

In property law, the involvement of a notary is e.g. required for

  • the sale of residential property (flats and houses) and land,
  • the creation of commonhold ownership,
  • off-plan purchase agreements,
  • the encumbrance of land with charges.

In commercial and company law, notarial involvement is required, for example, for

  • Companies House filings for sole traders, general partnerships (OHG) and limited partnerships (KG),
  • the formation of a GmbH, transfer of shares, amendments to the articles of association, and Companies House filings,
  • the formation of an entrepreneurial company (UG haftungsbeschränkt), transfer of shares, amendments to the articles of association, and Companies House filings,
  • the formation of a public limited company (AG), amendments to the articles of association, Companies House filings, and the notarisation of general meeting minutes,
  • transformation and merger agreements,
  • the formation of associations and amendments to their constitutions.

In family law for:

  • adoption proceedings,
  • pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements varying the statutory matrimonial property regime, as well as separation and divorce agreements.

In succession law, amongst other things, for:

  • inheritance contracts and forced heirship arrangements,
  • agreements on anticipated succession and gifts,
  • advising the testator and notarising a notarial will,
  • drawing up a notarial estate inventory,
  • applications for a grant of probate may also be notarised by a notary.

 Furthermore:

  • lasting powers of attorney, advance decisions and care directives

may be notarised. A notarised lasting power of attorney for later life also enables disposals of real property and must be recognised by banks and credit institutions.

Notaries are also authorised to certify signatures.

If you require an apostille or legalisation for the use of our deeds abroad, we will obtain this on your behalf through the Frankfurt am Main Regional Court.
